Real or virtual world

Real or virtual world

Do we love ourselves more in the virtual world, less in the real world?

Sometimes people forget who they are in real life and start creating their ideal self in the virtual world. We need to understand that this is not right and everything can seem perfect in the virtual world. Sometimes we forget how important it is to communicate with people, to be real and honest. We start thinking that our real selves are in the virtual world and start loving ourselves more in that world. To avoid this situation, we should not forget to spend more time with our families and friends, play games or just talk about different topics with them. Physical contact is really necessary for us! So don’t forget to take a walk or go to the cinema, park, theater and actually wherever you want. Then you will feel real and you will love yourself more in the real world.

10 Rules To Build A Successful Business

10 Rules To Build A Successful Business

Goldman and Nalebuff share 10 must-follow rules on how to start and build an equally impressive empire (you can find these rules in the back of their book; ‘Mission In A Bottle’):

1. “Build something you believe in — because that’s the first step to building a great brand.”

2. “Don’t aim for 10% improvement. Make it radically better and different.”

3. “Prepare to be copied. Don’t start unless you’ll survive imitation.”

If your idea is truly radical and takes off, you can count the minutes before the copy-cats arrive. How will you survive competition from the big 800-pound gorillas on the block? Or even from the upstart little guys? Your key is a system of ‘continuous innovation’.

4. “Build up reserves of money and energy for bad luck and mistakes.”

Great advice — but sometimes extremely difficult to do. What startup or growth company has reserves of cash sitting around? But Goldman and Nalebuff make a good point — run as lean as you possibly can and do not waste money or energy. You will endure mistakes and bad luck along the way, so having a good war chest full of capital and energy can help handle it.

5. “Never, ever give up control — until you sell.”

6. “Don’t compromise on the big things — compromise on everything else.”

Vision. Purpose. Core values. Write these things in stone and never budge. But flexibility in the value propositions, products and services you build to execute your purpose is vastly important. Many entrepreneurs I see fail to ‘bend to the market’ by adapting to what their customer’s are telling them.

7. “Figure out how to achieve your goals on a tiny budget — then cut that number in half.”

Yes — you’ve heard it said before — it will cost twice as much, and take twice as long as you think. My recommendation is you apply the principles of lean to your business from day one. No fancy offices. No fancy full color brochures. Your goal is to stay alive until you can nail your secret formula for success. Blowing the budget will insure nothing but a quick death.

8. “It’s a marathon, not a sprint.”

Is it ever. Building a business is neither for the faint of heart or the speed demon. Climbing Mt. Everest is not done in 3 easy steps: 1.) decide you want to do it, 2.) fly to Nepal with zero preparation, 3.) sprint straight up the mountain in 12 easy minutes. Build systems for the long-haul and focus on small-connected steps. (It takes 26,364 steps of 7″ each to climb Mt. Everest, and that’s starting from half way up at Basecamp.)

9. “Take care of your family, personal and spiritual health — if you aren’t laughing or smiling on a regular basis, recalibrate.”

Imagine the path to a wildly successful business: founder working at a feverish pitch for 18 hours each day, for at least 5 years straight. True? No, it’s not. Goldman told two reasons he made it through the rough years: first — he believed in his purpose, second — his drive for personal balance. The notion we need to kill our family relationships, personal health or level of sanity to build our own business is sadly misaligned.

10. “Build the enterprise and the brand as if you’ll own them forever.”

Will you sell your business someday? Maybe. Should that be the sole reason you are building it? Probably not. When you start and build a business based on passion and purpose, with a burning desire to solve the pain of your customer through the deliverance of monetizable value, you build a far more valuable enterprise. Those in it for the short-term quick buck rarely succeed.

In some countries, teenagers have jobs while they are still students…Essay.

In some countries, teenagers have jobs while they are still students…Essay.

In some countries, teenagers have jobs while they are still students. In this essay I will discuss about teenagers having jobs while they are still students. Is it helpful or not.

I think working while you’r still a students, is very helpful. Having a job by the students helps them get employed right after the graduation. If the students start working in the field they want to link their lives with, they have an opportunity to make connections with their future colleagues. While working, the students gain crucial skills to grow as professionals. In a college, the students mostly learn only the theory, but they have no practice. This way, when the fresh graduates without work experience are getting their first jobs, they very often feel stressed out and disappointed. This is because they realize that the real work environment is quite different from what they have learned from books in a school. But I also can believe that working while you’r still a students is not a good idea. Working several ours a day consumes a lot of time and one might be too exhausted to study. The main purpose of school life for teenagers is to learn scientific knowledge and techniques in preparation for their future. It is generally suggested that in order to master what they have learned at school, students must spend at least 3 hours each day on their homework. And I think working hard during school life can help them to find their proper jobs in future life.

In conclusion I think that working while you are a student I not a good idea, because you have to enjoy your student years and your friends. And teenagers should value their school life and make full use of time.

Devil wears Prada

Devil wears Prada

Devil wears Prada is one of my favorite movies ever. It’s about fashion, relationships, friends and career. It’s so motivational and there’s one scene that changed my life.

The first time I’ve ever watched it was with my mom. I just found it on TV and she suggested watching it. At that time I didn’t really pay attention to words or actions, I was fascinated by the characters, their clothes and the life they were living.

I recently re-watched it and there was one scene that made me think about whether I am doing things right. In that scene Andy, who is Miranda Priestly’s assistant, says that she wants to give up because her boss doesn’t appreciate her. And Nigel, who is one of the designers, tells Andy that she’s not trying, she’s whining. And I started thinking what if I’m not trying enough. And I was right.

I have exams in less than a month and all I was doing in the past couple of months was whining that I can’t pass them. I wasn’t even trying to do something about that. But after hearing that phrase I started my way practicing subjects that I’m not good at. Not only that phrase but the whole movie is so motivational and worth watching.

Smoking as a modern problem

Smoking as a modern problem

Nowadays lots of people smoke and there is no age gap. You can see how little kids from age 10 to 13 have already started to smoke. You can also see some girls smoking. I personally have nothing against smoking, because it’s a person’s choice whether to smoke or not. But still, there are some things about smoking that get on my nerves and make me angry.

First I’d like to talk about girls, who smoke because society thinks that they shouldn’t and I think that it is gender inequality. I believe that gender has nothing to do with smoking if you smoke, then it’s your own choice. Yes, girls can smoke, but when they are old enough. I mean smoking can cause lots of health problems, especially in our world when they are already enough diseases. Also, some girls smoke under the pressure of their guy best friends, who give them cigarettes and force them to smoke by convincing them that it’s a cool and harmless thing. I think that you should smoke by your own choice and don’t live by your circle’s decisions. However, it’s better for girls to start smoking when they’re at least at the age of 23. But again it’s just my personal opinion.

Let’s talk about boys now. Everybody knows that boys start to smoke at a very young age and even if they don’t smoke they at least try it. In my opinion, boys start to smoke under influence of their old friends, because they think “Wow, they’re older and popular, which means if we do the same things as them we would be like them one day. And people would like us and would respect us.” And again, it’s the same problem as in girls’ case. Boys go by their circle choice. But why does no one tell them not to do it, that’s a bad thing or that it’s disgusting? The reason is that they’re boys and it’s okay for them to do whatever they want. And again we have gender inequality.

Now I would love to talk about kids. The other day I was walking and I saw this little boy smoking, he was probably 10 years old, and he was with his girlfriend and he suggested her smoking too. That made me so angry. First of all, why is such a child smoking? And second, why is he even suggesting that to his girlfriend, who definitely didn’t even like him smoking himself. It comes from parents too, because they work day and night and don’t have time to look after their kids and those kids are being raised by the older guys in their district.

As we see it all comes from the circle and your choice. I know lots of guys whose best friends smoke and that is the main reason why they start to smoke. And that’s wrong. It doesn’t matter who your friends are, the thing is not to forget who you are. And it’s not only about smoking, it’s about everything. Never lose yourself just to fit in with others. I remembered a quote I heard on social media. It says “It’s better to be hated for who you are than be loved for who you are not.” It makes much sense. If somebody doesn’t like me the way I am, I am not going to change it to fit in or to be loved by them. It is very important to never lose yourself while meeting new people.

And in conclusion, I repeat myself, I have nothing against smoking, but there should be at least an age ban or someone to look after those who smoke because they really can hurt themselves.

Telling someone your goals makes them less likely to happen

Telling someone your goals makes them less likely to happen

Ted talk

After watching this video I’ve changed my mind about the decisions I make.

It’s a good point actually, because when I look back I realize, that every time I told somebody about my goals and they supported me I never succeed in them or even tried to do something to make them real. I thought that if they support me, then I have already achieved my goal. So I just gave up on halfway there. But the goals I’ve never told anyone about became real and it’s shocking.

So why is it like that? Every time we tell somebody about our goals we think that we achieved them. People who we told our goals ask about them every day, support you, offer you some help and you start to lose your motivation. But when we didn’t tell them anything, they start to see results and that’s when they notice it.

There’s this quote that I like «Work in silence, let your success be your noise». If you think deeply, you’ll see that it’s simple and effective. When you don’t talk about your goals people don’t know about them, so you start to work harder and harder for them to notice and when they notice you are so proud of yourself. But it’s not enough for you, then you start to want more and more. And that’s really amazing.

A good education is a key to a successful life

A good education is a key to a successful life

A good education is a key to a successful life! I agree 100%. Let me explain to you why.
Lots of you might say: » No education is nothing.» «We don’t need it.» «Lots of billionaires don’t have an education.» but you’re wrong.

Education is a key to everything. For example, if you don’t learn math and want to be a millionaire, who will do your easy financial work? You’ll need to hire somebody for it, and that’s just stupid. Or if you don’t learn a foreign language, but you love to travel. Or when you don’t take your grammar classes seriously you start speaking wrong and people might think you’re dumb.

By saying education, some people might understand it as school lessons and classes only, but no. Who said that education is only at school? You can educate yourself if you want to. Nowadays, there are tons of different online courses and private lessons that you can take to help yourself.

For example, I improve my English by watching various videos, reading books online, and doing exercises. And now I’m one level higher than I was last year.

I believe that people really don’t understand how important is education in our lives, and that’s sad. My advice to everyone is to concetrate at your education, because it’s more important than anything and you’ll say thank you to yourself in the future.

Education and employment

Education and employment

1)Education is not about developing your interpersonal skills but about learning facts.
2) Frequent examinations are a much more reliable and useful way of measuring performance than continous assesment.
3) Streaming is an excellent idea because it enables students with a similar ability to work at the same pace.
4) The most important aspect of education is the curriculum, or subjects which are taught.
5) Private education creates elitism and encourages inequality in society, which is absolutely disgusting.
6) Copying someone else’s ideas, plagiarism, cheating in exams, and buying qualifications is something necessary.
7) It’s easier to get good grades nowdays because education is dumbing down. Qualifications are worth less than in the past.
