Studying at the educational complex means traveling and traveling countless and inexorably, both within the borders of the Republic of Armenia and outside the borders of Armenia. Due to the global situation, we can’t travel and have to stay at home for our own health. I suggest using free time expediently and effectively. Let’s travel virtually via the internet.
I think we all have been to our neighboring Georgia but few are aware of the not-so-famous, small but at the same time very beautiful cities such as Lagodekhi, Telavi, Signaghi and Kakheti. I have traveled to Georgia with educational complex several times, and despite the long journey, I enjoy the view on the other side of the window every time. The road to the Georgian border from Yerevan is the most pleasant. We will be accompanied by colors from Armenia. The image of nature that opens before every eye has its own color. Blue Sevan, yellow-red Dilijan, white fogs and the winds are just cold and indifferent. We have to go to Tbilisi from the Georgian border, from where we will travel two more hours to reach the Kakheti region.
Let’s start.
Telavi is the center of Kakheti. The shootings of the famous soviet film “Mimino” took place in the area of Telavi airport. The city center is the palace of Erekle II.

The 50’s building and traditional Georgian houses with glass balconies harmoniously coexist in the heart of Telavi. Life in Telavi is in full swing. The city is considered a city of depraved woman, with which I fully agree. While walking in the center, you will meet interesting and colorful female characters who give the city even more breath.
Next is Lagodekhi. Lagodekhi’s tranquil silence after Yerevan’s lively daily life gives us another feeling. Cold air refreshes our hearts and minds, and the silent streets seem to make you think.
This city is famous for its National Park. The National Park is waiting for everyone with its services at all times of the year. The National offers tourist attractions, waterfalls and old castles. If you love sports, hiking and horseback riding, then 1 or 3 day trips are just for you. During this campaigns you can see and get acquainted with the plants that grow only in that period. You will see Ninoshkhevi Waterfall, Rocho Falls, Machi Castle and black Rock Lake. We were told about all this at the local museum and were introduced to the program as accessible as possible. I hope that this summer we will be able to visit Lagodekhi again and take part in one of these campaigns. And last but not least, lets remember that wine is Kakheti’s business card. In Lagodekhi you can also visit a win factory and taste their immortal wine.
